About The Bear-Glasgow Observer

As a resident of Bear, I decided to start The Bear-Glasgow Observer as a place where residents in the growing area of the Route 40 corridor could find good community journalism and local news and events that aren’t being covered elsewhere.

First and foremost, The Bear-Glasgow Observer should be a record of you, your news, your views, your events. So send in your news tips and story ideas to editor@bearglasgowobserver.com. Let us know what we should be covering, what you care about seeing.

Our ultimate goal is to begin printing a weekly publication in the Spring of 2009, delivered free to readers and supported by local advertisers. You can help us reach that point by donating to our organization as we assemble funds to bring this paper to the printers.

And if you’re a local advertiser looking to support an outlet that will reach over 10,000 local households and 30,000 readers, check out our online rate card, and preview our ad print card. Think about the possibly of attracting new customers to your business.

So enjoy The Bear-Glasgow Observer, let us know how we’re doing, and what you’d like to see as we grow.
