Troopers Arrest Man Linked to Theft of Electronics

A string of thefts from vehicles were reported in the Glasgow, Stanton, and Newark areas occurring over the past 30 days have come to an end. State Police Troop 2 arrested Eligio Cintron, 42, Wilmington while he broke into yet another vehicle at the Embassy Suites in Newark.

Cintron was linked to 9 other thefts that occurred in the Pencader Corporate Center and along the corridor of Rts. 4 and 7, noted Cpl. Jeff Whitmarsh.

Items he stole include laptops, GPS units, and other electronics. Troopers were unable to recover any items. They believe he sold the property he stole.

Cintron was charged with felony and misdemeanor charges of theft, criminal mischief, receiving stolen property, sale of stolen property, possession of burglar tools and conspiracy.

He was sent to Gander Hill on a $23,700 cash bond and a violation of probation administrative warrant.
