Budget Committee Recommends 2.5% Pay Cut to State Workers

The News Journal is reporting that the Joint Finance Committee has voted to cut state employees’ pay by 2.5 percent, which is much smaller than the 8% cut Gov. Jack Markell has proposed and strongly pushed.
The bill takes effect immediately, however the cuts still need approval from the full General Assembly.
