Christina Superintendent Search Schedule Update

Now that the search is down to two candidates, the Christina school board has updated their schedule on appointing the new superintendent for the district.

On April 3, Freeman Williams and Marcia V. Lyles were announced as the finalists in the superintendent search. The next step in the process is for the board to visit the home districts of these candidates.

The board will be in their own district on April 24, for the site visit of Freeman Williams, the interim superintendent for Christina School District.

On April 27, the board will go to New York for Marcia V. Lyles’ site visit of the New York City Public School system.

The new superintendent will be appointed on or before May 19, with their start date being July 1.
