Bear Man Arrested for Rape of 12-Year-Old

A Bear man is being charged with rape after police discovered he had sex with a 12-year-old girl inside his apartment.

According to police, David D. Holmes II, 23, met the 12-year-old victim at her home on Friday, April 3 after being introduced to her through a mutual friend.

Holmes only kissed the victim during their first encounter. 

The two met a second time on Sunday, April 5, after the victim snuck out of her home and was picked up by Holmes. He took the victim to his home in the 800 block of Woodchuck Place in the Fox Run Apartments, where the two engaged in sex acts that are illegal due to the victim’s age. 
 
Holmes was arrested yesterday and charged with six counts of rape in the second degree.  He was later arraigned and committed to the Howard Young Prison after failing to post $180,000 secured bail.
