New Castle County Executive Chris Coons delivered his FY2010 budget address Tuesday night, which proposes the elimination of 75-100 jobs, saving the county an estimated $4.8 million dollars.
The proposed $234 million budget is a 3% decrease from last year’s $240 million.
In addition to the budget cuts, residents will see on average an $8 a month increase in their property taxes, which Coons estimated would cost residents an additional $100 a year.
