A Wilmington Manor teenager was apprehended in connection to an attempted car-jacking last night in the Penn Acres community.

According to Corporal Trinidad Navarro, police spoke with the 70-year old victim who claimed he parked his car in the 300 block of S. Booth Drive and was walking to his front door when two male subjects accosted him, both were wielding handguns.

After refusing to give them his car keys, the victim began banging on his front door to warn the occupants of the problem outside. Then, both suspects ran away.

Corporal Joseph Krajewski and his canine partner, Eros, were called to the scene to help the investigation. They began tracking at the victim’s home and headed south, ultimately leading to a residence in Wilmington Manor where they found a male subject that fit the description of one of the alleged carjackers.
