Two foot patrol officers of the New Castle County Police Department (NCCPD) arrested 18 year-old Keith Wilson of New Castle after a foot chase in the Sparrow Run neighborhood on Wednesday, March 18th. Wilson’s acquaintance, 19 year-old Adrein Tyler, fled the scene and remains at large.
Officers Orlando Rodriguez and Brian Taylor were on patrol when they saw two men who matched the description of suspects wanted in a recent local home-invasion robbery. As they approached the men, the suspects fled in opposite directions. In the course of the pursuit, officers observed Wilson discard a bag containing 30 individual bags of crack cocaine.
The NCCPD encourages anyone with information on the whereabouts of Tyler, who is wanted on charges of resisting arrest as well as six other warrants from other courts, to call (302) 395-8110. Tipsters are also encouraged to leave tips at the NCCPD website—http://www.nccpd.com—or to call Crime Stoppers at (800) TIP-3333. Crime tips may also be text-messaged to CRIMES (274637), then typing TIPS702, leave one space, then begin typing the information.
