Glasgow Man Linked to Underage Sexual Abuse

A Glasgow man has been linked to the sexual abuse of a child between the age if five and seven, according to police.

Robert Megginson, 61, of Ravenworth Court, was arrested after police investigated a late reported sexual abuse case involving the young victim, who police say is now 10 years old. The sexual abuse occurred between three and five years ago while the victim was at Megginson’s residence.

Police are withholding any additional information in an effort to protect the identity of the victim.

Megginson has been charged with four counts of rape in the first degree, one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child and one count of endangering the welfare of a child. He has been arraigned and committed to the Howard Young Prison after failing to post $230,500 secured bail.
