After trailing 4-0 as they entered the bottom of the 3rd inning, the Lady Tigers rallied and chipped away at Glasgow’s lead, tying the game in the 7th to force extra innings.

The stalemate was broken in the top of the 9th inning, when Glasgow’s Jennie Turner drove in Emily Cummings for the go-ahead run. The Dragons defense held in the bottom of the 9th to preserve the victory.

Glasgow’s Sam Gross gave up four runs and 11 hits while striking out five in earning the win, improving her record to 2-0 for the season.

“We were pretty closely matched teams today,” said Glasgow coach Matt Pleasanton. “Even thought we graduated 7 players last year, we have pretty high expectations for competing in Flight A this season.”

The Dragons travel to play Wilmington Christian on Monday, March 30th at 3:45pm.
